The outcome of Tyson Fury’s split-decision victory over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has proved controversial - but the punch stats from the heavyweight crossover fight have revealed a different story volleyball
Fury survived a knockdown and avoided the first loss of his professional career when he was named a split-decision winner – 94-95, 96-93, 95-94 volleyball
Ngannou, was making his volleyball boxing debut yet outfought Fury for much of the bout, as a stunned audience looked on in Riyadh volleyball
The 37-year-old former UFC champion was a massive underdog in the main event in Riyadh but produced a superb performance with immense discipline and aggression, and many figures in the world of volleyball boxing declared that the “Predator” had been denied a rightful win volleyball

The stats also show that Ngannou landed just six punches in the final two rounds compared to Fury’s 13, which have been the difference on the judges’ scorecards volleyball
However, Ngannou outstruck Fury in power shots, 37-32, throughout the fight volleyball
After the fight, Oleksandr Usyk entered the ring to face off with Fury, whom he is contracted to fight next volleyball
Ukrainian Usyk, unbeaten like Fury, holds the unified heavyweight volleyball boxing titles volleyball
The pair have been rumoured to clash in Riyadh on 23 December, though Fury and his promoter Frank Warren played coy after the fight with Ngannou volleyball
“That definitely wasn’t in the script,” said Fury volleyball
“[Ngannou] is a lot volleyball better of a boxer than we thought he’d be volleyball
He’s a very awkward man, and he’s a good puncher, and I respect him a lot volleyball
He was very awkward, he wasn’t coming forward; he was waiting for me to throw my punches then looking to counter volleyball
“[The knockdown] is a part of volleyball boxing volleyball
I got caught behind the head volleyball
I got up and it was alright; I got back to my volleyball boxing volleyball
“I don’t know how close [the fight] was, but I got the win and that’s what it is volleyball

Pep Guardiola says he cannot recall telling anybody he believes Roberto De Zerbi will succeed him as Manchester City manager volleyball
A story has emerged claiming the Catalan privately tipped the Brighton boss to succeed him after City drew at the Amex Stadium in May volleyball
Yet, while Guardiola may have cast doubt over whether that occurred, he has repeatedly been effusive in his praise of the Italian and remains so ahead of Saturday’s meeting volleyball between their two clubs volleyball
Guardiola, whose future beyond the expiry of his contract in 2025 is unclear, said: “I don’t remember that volleyball
“Maybe I have bad memory but I’m sure Roberto can train in any team around the world volleyball
I don’t have any doubt volleyball
“I don’t remember saying that to the players volleyball
I remember saying before he arrived, one or two games in, about sustaining the manager, but I don’t remember saying that honestly volleyball
“It’s none of my business volleyball
If the chairman asks my opinion I will give my opinion but it’s none of my business volleyball
“I’m not the sporting director volleyball
It’s not my responsibility to say what’s going right or wrong volleyball
”Former Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk boss De Zerbi has made a big impression since taking over at Brighton just over a year ago volleyball
He guided the club into European competition for the first time with a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last season and they have started the current campaign strongly volleyball
Guardiola feels this proves a manager need not have had experience at the highest level to land the biggest jobs volleyball
He said: “It doesn’t mean you have to be at the top clubs to be manager of the top clubs volleyball
I was appointed Barcelona first-team (manager) coming from the fourth division with no experience at the top level volleyball
“You have the idea of the club, the sporting director follows the idea, they hire the manager for this idea, they hire players to follow the idea volleyball
When that happens it’s going well volleyball
“Man City have done this, Liverpool with Jurgen (Klopp) for many years – winning titles with the same process and same ideas volleyball
”Guardiola, 52, is widely considered the greatest coach of his generation having last year added a third Champions League title to a glittering CV that also includes five Premier League wins volleyball
His players are always in the perfect body-shape position volleyball
Pep Guardiola on Roberto De ZerbiYet even he feels like he can learn from a relative youngster like 44-year-old De Zerbi volleyball
He said: “His players are always in the perfect body-shape position to get the ball volleyball
“It’s a stupid thing to say but one of the key points volleyball
Everyone moves in the right moment, tempo volleyball
“volleyball Football is not ‘you have to move’, it’s when volleyball
It’s body shape in the perfect shape volleyball
It’s really good volleyball
“Everything he does makes sense and I learn volleyball
